School Bus Pass Information for term beginning 17th August 2021

School Bus passes for the 17th August to 8th October 2021 term will be on sale from Monday 16th August until Friday 27th August 2021 (excluding weekends) between 9.30am and 2.30pm. Please note the 2 week selling window.

Bus passes can be purchased by telephoning 01397 700 700. We can take payment via Debit or Credit card. Please have your payment card, pupil’s name and home and school information ready. We expect a high volume of calls so please have understanding of this and patience.

All bus passes purchased will be sent to the relevant school the next working day to be picked up by the pupil as advised during the call.

This term we will offer two week’s grace. From week 3 of the term please ensure that your child has the relevant fare to pay the driver if they do not hold a valid bus pass (pre-paid or entitled).

Caol - LHS = £38.00

Town/Inverlochy/Claggan/Corpach - LHS = £45.00

Upper Achintore/Plantation/Seafield Gardens - LHS = £54.00

Fort William - Kinlochleven HS = £100.00

Fort William - Ardnamurchan HS = £152.00

Onich/North Ballachulish - LHS = £85.00

Plantation – Lundavra PS = £38.00

Corpach - Banavie PS = £38.00

Corpach - Caol PS/St Columba’s = £38.00

Caol - Banavie PS = £38.00

Corpach – Inverlochy = £45.00

Caol – Lundavra Primary = £54.00

First replacement Bus Pass costs £5.00 thereafter full price.

Please remember that all passengers and school pupils are expected to wear a face covering on public transport and school buses unless exempt.  This is mandatory in Scotland until further notice.

Pupils from outlying areas who are entitled to free transport will not receive a physical bus pass from the Highland Council this year. This excludes entitled pupils from Upper Achintore who will be able to pick up their pass from reception at LHS.

SCHOOL TRANSPORT (September 2020)

We have been having ongoing issues with Lochaber High School pupils either not displaying their bus pass when boarding the bus or not paying their fare. With the current situation, this is lost revenue we can ill afford.

Further to meetings with Highland Council and Lochaber High School, it has been confirmed that with effect from Monday 21st September any pupil that does not have a bus pass or bus fare will be refused travel and will be left at Lochaber High School after the school day. This does not apply to children traveling to rural/outlying areas.

Unfortunately we have been left with no alternative, therefore we are now introducing this measure. We hope to resolve this issue and we appreciate your co-operation with this matter.
