How do I add e-money to my smart card?
Once you’ve completed this process you’ll then be able to add funds to your account either on bus or via your sQuid account online. Thereafter you’ll then be able to use the stored travel credit on you saltirecard to travel on bus.

Shiel buses is proud to launch a new suite of smart tickets in the form of a 7 day pass and a 10 journey carnet.
Our range on smart tickets will be available on the saltirecard and can be used on any one of our services 7 days a week.
Once you have registered for a card online, you will be able to add the smart ticket of choice (whether it’s an adult or child ticket) to your saltirecard either on bus or online.
When you buy your ticket you simply tap your saltirecard on the ticket machine each time you board the bus. When you get your bus ticket it will show you how many journeys/days you have left.
You can also add money to your saltirecard to pay for journeys where you don’t have already a ticket.
